The pilot will have its digital back-up retrieved and translated for computer analysis when it arrives at Tokyo Sky Base. The back-up will then be analysed by human officials who will then assess the incident spectrographically. A molecular trace will then be run in an attempt to track the explosion's history. The explosion has created a crater more than two km across. No radiation has been detected so far. It has been speculated that the source was a missile assisted dual thermo-magnetic pulse. Responsibility for the attack has been claimed by the Mars Resistance Front (MRF) as part of their campaign for independence, and follows a series of four explosions in New Chicago, Mars. Disturbingly, the blast signals that the MRF has a powerful capability far beyond the confines of Mars proper. Commentators are left wondering whether the next target will be on earth. Certainly the capability is there, but is there the will? The explosion definitely marks an escalation onn ininnniiiooo[[]]]] ]]]] ]] ...//\\\ <<<Instability detected in gyrotron control.
