ISSUE 1878 1 October 2303 Time Machine Tribune limited transmission via WCD Timelab gyrotron. Please note that there have been no recent precasts due to gyrotron recalibration. Gyrotron engineers are attempting to resolve the chronometry problems which are consuming more than half a second of time each transmission. This is causing significant disruptions to time critical infrastructure. TMT is advising all world governments on a monthly basis of the chronometry loss as soon as data is available. Engineers believe that this loss is insignificant compared to the importance of the information obtained from the transmissions. TMT regrets the disruption caused to hospitals, nuclear reactors and other institutions dependent on time critical maintenance.
President Nlund, in her explanation to the parliament, said "the notion of unemployment is an artificial construct of modern economics. 10,000 years ago, there was no such thing. That is, when a village's workers finished the necessary chores and tasks, they stopped work. If it only took four hours to pick an apple orchard, then work finished. Every single able worker was employed to get the available work done, rather than having anyone excluded.
