If true, the situation presents as a most significant and unique constitutional crisis. UFG broadcasts state that DNA samples of the Prince were snatched from Royal Albert Hospital in July 2722 (when the Prince was admitted for an abdominal operation) and replicated into human embryos in 2725. If verified, this would mean that the 86 infants are seven years old. The UFG has signalled that negotiations for verification are taking place, and British experts in genetic engineering are expected to be permitted to examine the children in Algeria within weeks. The real questions arise, are the children indeed Royal clones? What are the implications? What will happen after Prince Harold's death? What rights would the alleged clones have if their bloodline is confirmed as royal? What will happen if the British Government succeeds in securing the children? If, for example, Prince Harold assumes the throne at age 60 in about ten year's time, the 86 clones would be just approaching adulthood. Nothing in the British Constitution anticipates the problems and implications this scenario would cause.
